Weekend coming to an end... It was a good one though. We kicked off the weekend by trying a new restaurant, La Pampa, with Sam & Rich on Thursday night. I have been dying to try this place because it describes itself as having Latin ambiance, Argentinean flavor, and South American appeal. Unfortunately, I found none of those and apologized to our friends for making a poor venue choice. I promised to stick to what I know and vowed to return to my faithful and favorite Pachanga when in the mood for juicy beef and robust wine.

We always have a great time with Sam & Rich. They're so laid back, funny, and just easy to be around. We left the crappy restaurant as quickly as we could sign the bill and went over to Bar 44 for some dirty martinis and the boys enjoyed some cigars.
We waited [patiently] for 20 minutes while the valet found our car. He said the car was broken. We followed him to the underground valet parking where Jim proceeded to fire up the engine and spewed a few choice obscenities at the idiot valet.
This episode warranted a few more cocktails back at the house. We stretched it into the small hours and felt it the next day.
Friday was a write off.
Today, got a few house chores done. Hung a my Moroccan light in the dining room. It looks pretty great. Now I need to learn to cook a tagine or some exotic ethnic dish...
Jim left for Saudi, again, this afternoon. So my night will be spent with the girls, the Showbox, and an early night under the sheets.
Hope all is well back home.
