I guess I don't have much to put on here lately. Things are getting back to normal and the weather is finally cooling... but not much. Enough that I can wear jeans at night and not feel totally uncomfortable.

I've been busy in the yard almost every day for quite a while now. My goal is to eliminate the gardener all together. I dated a landscaper for over three years, so I know a little bit about designing a flower bed. I decided to make "normal" "North American" style beds - with flowers, edging, and mulch. This is a new concept here where they simply dig a whole in the dirt or grass, if you're lucky to have it, and put a plant in the ground.
Last weekend, we went to the Dubai Garden Center and puchased 100 meters of drip hose and gadgets. Once installed, all we have to do is simply turn on the tap and walk away for a few hours while the water slowly drips into the beds. Simple. Easy. Affordable.
The gardener gets the axe this week.
Teaching ART again tomorrow!! Hoorah! I cannot believe I was accused of coloring outside the lines. Hmph. Never.

Here's another shot. Can you tell I'm proud?

Garden After. Recently my garden has been an ongoing project. I've put in new flower beds, installed a drip hose system, and thrown wood mulch over everything. I think it looks great!!
