Interview went very well. They want me, but for 1/2 price. Hmmm... must give this some thought. It would be great to get back in the routine, but will it annoy me to no end to do it for peanuts?

Teaching tomorrow. Better bring trashy novel for amusement. Hoorah, the weekend is upon us! Tomorrow night we go see Bryan Adams at the World Trade Center with Steve & Elsa and then... *heart thump* Valentine's!! Somehow, I think this year I WON'T be getting a lamp. (LC - if you read this, you know what I'm talkin' about!)

Wow. My body is so sore. I painted our bedroom yesterday - the entire bedroom in one day. I started at 9:00 and did not finish until 7:00. Whew. But, it looks gorgeous!! It's a soothing putty grayish color. A big improvement from the light yellow that drenches the rest of the house. Poor Jim got home starving and ready for a quick bite before running off to his hockey game to find his wife exhausted and covered in paint. He laughed and said, "get showered and dressed. I'm taking you out to dinner." Yeeahhhh, right! It would have taken me an hour just to get the first layer of paint off my body! I settled for a fast food picnic in the living room.

The car hunt continues. I've been working with the guy that we bought Jim's car from for about a month now and am growing weary. I'm about to throw in the towel and just take whatever he can find in the next day or so. The other night, I was out at the Used Car Complex with Bashar going from dealer to dealer, shivering in the cold, while he haggled in Arabic.
On the job front, the V&E interview is on Tuesday. I have a feeling the job will be mine if I want it, the question is what exactly IS the job? If it is a six day work week with 10 hour days for Dhs. 1,000 per month, I think I'll have to pass. We'll see... Substitute teaching continues - three days this week. Wheeee! I teach on Valentine's Day. I wonder if I'll get a little Valentine from a student?
Valentine's Day. Fifth Grade. Candy hearts. What a day. I remember making these tiny pink and red works of art for my friends... The secrecy of it all. It was great.
O.M.G. On my little search to find some darling link to a children's valentine, I found this! I can only pray that my fifth grade daughter never refers to me as "Bitchy Ass." Geez. And we think WE have problems.
