At approximately 10:00 PM, Mrs. Sunstrom was dropped off at the corner of Louisiana and Rusk and I sped for IAH, Terminal A to pick up the man. Perfect timing, just as I pulled up and shifted into park, I saw my talk drink of water walking toward me with his clubs and baggage in tow. Some silly Canadian woman cut his hair too short, but I just ruffled it and squeezed him tight. He told me all about his drunken golfing antics, visiting with family, winning and losing money, and missing me terribly (that was the best part).

Now, back at work, must suffer through two more days before the weekend arrives. Football on Saturday night, Golf on Sunday morning. Woohoo!! Go Texans! (Thanks, HB)

I'm so excited I can barely sit still in my seat. I wish it were 5:00. I wish we were already sitting on the deck sipping a cold one and laughing about “wheezer.” I wish I was getting dressed, fixing my VS hair, and heading toward downtown to waste time before he gets here. I wish it were 10:00. I wish I could see his face and squeeze him. I wish it were Saturday morning and I was lazily lying in bed with 10 pillows.

The hair cut went FABulous!! Scott truly is an artist and has a passion for his craft. He is exactly what I have been looking for since my move to Houston five years ago. I believe only women can understand the deep importance of finding a good hairdresser - one that can look at you and see what is best for you and just DOES IT. Jeez. When I put it that way, it’s hard to find that in MOST relationships. Anyway, it may have taken me a while to stumble upon him (Thanks, Z), but I’m not losing him now!! He chopped about 3 inches off the length and gave me “sexa bangs” upon my request. When I left, I had the hair (NOT the body) of a VS model. I was pleased. I jetted to Ulta 3 for a flat iron and then met my girls at Vietnam for our monthly girls’ dinner. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant, so it was kind of like a private party. We ordered WAY too much food (including an order of 36 fried wontons) and a six-pack or so of beer.

10 hours and counting. Maybe I’ll meet the H-town Bloggers for a few drinkies after work to pass the time until the man lands.

Getting together again with my high school girlfriends was the highlight of the weekend. Anticipating some one-on-one time with Lara and spending time with the other girls got me through the end of week (pics from Galiant Knight here)and tonight’s hair cut with Scott the Extraordinare and the monthly girls’ dinner is getting me through until 10 PM tomorrow. Ironically, work has been sucking up more hours of my time lately. Interviewing people is a draining experience - I feel so sorry for most of them, especially the ones currently unemployed and searching.

I can’t stop thinking about him getting home. He’ll be lucky if I don’t (or do, depending on how you look at it) pounce him the moment he steps off that plane. Jeez. I hope I go to the right terminal. (Ding! Blonde Moment.)
